Released strains of temperature-tolerant white button mushroom (Agaricus bitorquis)
Two improved strains of summer white button mushroom, NCB-6 and NCB-13, were released along with a complete package of practices in the form of two booklets during the VIIIth AICMIP Workshop held at NRCM, Solan, from 1–2 May 2000. The strains were introduced from hot areas of the USA and released for commercial cultivation in India after evaluation trials and standardization of cultivation technology over 6–7 years. Both strains performed well in multilocational testing at AICMIP centres and in on-farm trials conducted at Solan.
Released strains of Agaricus bisporus
ICAR-DMR developed and released three strains—NCS-100, NCS-101 and NCH-102 (two single-spore isolates and one hybrid strain)—for use in India. The technologies and strain photographs below are reproduced from the institute’s existing page.
