Commercial mushroom spawn

Spawn is supplied for the following commercially cultivated mushrooms, subject to production and availability:

• White button mushroom
• Oyster mushroom species
• Milky mushroom
• Shiitake mushroom
• Paddy straw mushroom

The live page states that spawn is generally made available after advance booking of about 20 days.

Booking and payment

• Advance booking is made after receipt of 50% payment in advance, as stated on the live page.
• The listed rate for spawn is ₹100 per kilogram.
• The original page mentions advance payment by demand draft in favour of “ICAR Unit-NRCM”, payable at State Bank of India, Chambaghat.

Before paying, contact the Institute to confirm the current account/payee details, rates, availability and booking procedure.

Spawn of specialty mushrooms

Spawn of additional mushrooms may be arranged by advance booking of approximately two months. The live page names:

• Wood ear mushroom (Auricularia polytricha)
• Winter mushroom / enoki (Flammulina velutipes)
• Agrocybe aegerita
• Ganoderma lucidum

Availability should be confirmed before planning production.

Master spawn

Master spawn of commercially cultivated mushrooms is listed at ₹500 per bottle of 250 g.

Contact the Institute to confirm the species and strain available, quantity, current rate and collection date.

Collection and transport

The live page states that spawn or master spawn must be collected personally from the Directorate on the agreed date. Postal or courier dispatch is not offered because spawn may spoil during transport.

Please coordinate the collection date and handling arrangements with the Institute before travelling.
